THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

Last severel additional pictures were addtd to the already lengthy programme at the Hall, and the whole series wai received in an enthusiastic manner by a large audience. Among the new [ suhjscts introduced ia a sterling drama entitled, "The Broken Vow." For this picture, Mme. Eugiene Nau, the famous French actress, who created such a sensation in Paris, when sha played the part uf Gervaiae in the production of Emile Zola's "Le Assurnnair," was spec ! - ally engaged to play the character of the widow, and her performance, as seen upon the screen, stamps tier aa one of the cleverest cinematographic actresses in the employ of Messrs Pathe Freres, A picture of quite a different character. "Not to be Blamed," was also produced. This film is very lengthy, being over one thousand feet'virj,. length, and depicts tome delightful comedy. The wonderful feat of "Lily BareellaV birds and animals were received with marked signs ot approval. "None but the Brave" is quite out of the ordinary run of pictures, and shows the wonderful surgical operation, the transfusion of blood. A fine character study is depicted in "The Mule Driver." A prairie schooner is attacked by Indians, and the party are all killed, with the exception of the driver and a lad. Many other films depicting drama, scenery, and comedv make up a really interesting programme. This series will be presented for the last time to-night.

TOWN HALL PICTURES.

To-night there will be an entire change of programme at the Town HalV'tficturesy' when a special set of films have been arranged for the occasion. Those who like scenery will be well catered for in "Leopard Hunting in Abyssinia," "A Trip through Jersey," and "Dutch Types,'- Drama is also wtII provided ■!<■?, ihere being five films. "The IWiniwture," "Th* Ivdian," "The lacvy Detective," "The Engineer's Daughler," and "Cosette," all being by the best fiim makers. The corri'cs are some of the best ever produced in the town.
