N.Z. FARMERS' UNION.

MASTERTON BRANCH,

A special meeting of the Masterton branch of the N.Z. Farmers' Union was held in the offices of the A. and P. Association on Saturday afternoon last. There were present Messrs D; McGregor i_ai\, (in the chair), J. C. Cooper, W. Perry, F. 0. Matthews, B. Rayner, J. B. McKenzie, G. R. Sykes, W. J. Welch, J. Conway, and R. D. McKenzie. Mr W. Collett (of Timaru), was also present. The object of the meeting was to discuss certain remits' forwarded by the Dominion Executive.

The chairman expressed that at a meeting when, important business was to be discussed there should be such a small" attendance, of members.

Various subjects were discussed (as reported, elsewhere) and the meeting closed.
