POVERTY BAY SHOW.
The Poverty Bay district has latterly come into ccrsiderable prominence as a pastoral and agricultural district., and breeders from all parts of the Dominion are turning their eye in that direction. The an ual show of the Poverty Bay A. and P. Society, which is to be held on October 25th and 26th, will afford Wairarapa breeders and others [a splendid oppurtunity of bringing prominently before the settlers of the Esst Coast, the v;rious breeds of stock in which they are specialising. The comparison wh'ch will n j .cts:ariiy be drawn at ti is show between the local and outside breeds will be of distinct advantage to all, and should result in the betterment of pastoraland agricultural concerns generally. 'l'he Schedule for the S iuw is very attractive, and embracis every kind of stock, to say nothing of poultry and produce. The sheep, horses and cattle divisions will be of special interest to Wairarapa breeders, while the competitions should draw a good number of outside entries*. Copies of the Schedule, together with entry forms, may be obtained from the Wairarapa Age office. Entries for all events except trotting close on Saturday, October 15th.
