MAURICEVILLE KIFLE CLUB.

The Mauricaville Defence Rifle Club held its opening day's shoot for the season on Saturday last in fine weather, though it was very windy. Some very fair shooting was done, considering (he wind was very rough at times, varying from about 3 degree-) right to 12 degrees right, and the light failing towards the close of the shooting, making sighting very bad. A good muster turned out to compete in the sweepstake handicap matches, which were keenly competed for by all. Following are the results of handicap matches (handicap included) : 200 Yards Match.--C. E, Blewett 33, R. A. Wilton 32, R. C. F. Dagg 32, E. El. Dat?g 31. 500 Yards Match.—A. Larsen .'53, H. Tildesley 33. H. N. Wilton 33, j R. C. F. Dagg 32. 600 Yards Match.—E. H. Dagg j 31, H. N. Wilton 31, W, Day, 28, I F. Kummer 27. i Aggregate Prize Winners.--H. N. j Wilton 89, R. ~. F. Dagg 86, W. Day 84, R. F. Wilton 83. Other scores not prize winners— H. Tildesley 83, E. H. Dagg 82, C.
