CARTERTON.
Mr W. Heald, who has been im charge of the Carterton RailwayStation for the past two years, coming here from Hastings, is about to retire on pension from the service. His annual holiday commences on I Wodnesday next, stnd after the nigbt, he has been granted three months' leave of absence, and'after the expiry of this, Mr Heald retires. During his short sojourn in , our midst, Mr Heald has made manyfriends, and is one of the most obliging station officials has had, Mr.Heald will reside, in ijlapv •''■""/. ■.
