CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The Masterton Congregational Church held its second anniversary yesterday, when, by the large congregations which attended both morning and evening, it was manifested what a great work had been accomplished in the short space of two years. The morning service was conducted by the Rev. C. H. Olds, who took as his text the words from 11. Kings, chapter 6, verse 16, "Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them." Mr Olds gave a very eloquent and inspiring address. In the evening the pulpit was occupied by the Rev. Bain Mac Donald, the subject of whose address was "The Call of Moses by God to deliver Israel," the text being found in Exodus, chapter 3, verse 10. The preacher likened the call that Moses received 'to fhat which we all receive, namely, to spread abroad the gospel ;>f Jesus Christ. During the morning service the choir rendered the authem "We Bow in Prayer," and in the evening "I will lift up Mino Eyes."
