LONDON MAKKETS.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., hava received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of 7th inst.Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions Good mutton, 38s per cwt; good beef, 37s per cwt; mixed, 35s 9d. Market active. Wheat sold ai 35s 9d c.i.f. New Zealand cargo. Market firm. Good demand. Market prospects Continent; outlook uncertain. rowbills, 178 6d. Market firm. Fair demand. We quote perjquarter c.i.f.: New Zealand wheat, long berried, 32s 3d; New Zealand wheat, short berried, 31s 9d.
THE WHEAT MAKKETS
Received Last Night, 7.25 o'clock. LONDON, September 9. The wheat markets are steady, inactive, and practically unchanged. Fair harvest weather prevails in England and on the Continent. Australian cargoes are dull. Thirty-nine shillings and ninepence is asked for October and November shipments, and 39s for the new crop JanuaryFebruary shipments.
