AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The Foresters' Hall was well filled last night, when the specially selected programme was presented. The dramatic story of "La Savelli" was perhaps the favourite picture, being a beautifully coloured art film adopted from an historical event during the French Monarchy under Napoleon 111. "Saved by her Dog" is one of the most popular class of pictures, and the sagacious canine was loudly applauded. "An Indian's Horrible Revenge" shows how the Army officers take their lives in their hands in the outposts in India, and the dangers to whicb their families are liable. The usual matinee will be given to-day at 2 30, all children being admitted free. Any adult requiring admission will be charged one shilling. The South Band will play a programme of music outside tbe Foresters' Hall to-night prior to tbe performance.
