THE NEW COMMANDANT.
The report that Colonel Godley has been appointed Commandant of the New Zealand Forces has been confirmed. The Prime Minister made a statement on the subject in the House of Representatives last evening. Sir Joseph Ward said the new Commandant was to have supreme command of the Forces, and the fullest responsibility in connection with matters pertaining to his Department.
