COLONIAL MEAT 111 ENGLAND, DR, CHAPPLE'3 VIEWS. Received September 6, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, September 6. Dr. W. A. Chßpple, formerly a member.of the New Zealand Parliament and now member for Stirlingshire in the British House of Commons, has arrived here from England.

He state that the treatment of colonial meat in London is scandalous. It comes in contact with much dirt in the course of handling. The system of rebate for damaged meat was profitable to the buyer, and dealers who trafficked only m damaged carcases looked prosperous. £ There wes, added Dr. Chappie, much fraud in connection with colonial meat.
