PAHIATUA STOuK SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in Fahiatua yards on Wednesday, when they submitted a . large entry of cattle, comprising good [useful 2year steers, empty heifers, dairy heifers, dairy cows, store [cows, yearling steers and heifers. No sheep came forward. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and prices are as follow:—Mixed yearlings, 29s to 353; store cows, £3 to £3 10s; 2 year steers, £4* 10s; dairy heifers, to £7 ss; dairy cows, backward surts, £4 to£s 15s; cows close to profit, £6 to £9 10s; bulls, 40s.
CLEARING SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mer cantile Agency Co., Ltd., have to report having held a very successful clearing sale at Hamua on Thursday on account of Mr Ngauhiro Marakaia. There was a very large attendance of buyers present from Mangamahoe, Hastwell, Newman, Nireaha, Eketahuna, Pahiatua and surrounding district. Bidding waa spirited from start to finish, and we quote as follows:—Good cov»s, showing close up to profit, from £B, £8 10s, £9 ss, £9 17s 6d, £lO 2s 6d, £ll 10s; cows coming in late, £5 10s, £6, £6 sa, £7 to £8; store cows £2 to £4; springing] hsifers, £6 to £7; 2 year empty heiiers, £3 7s; yearilngs, £2 16; weaners, 275; bulls, £4 17s 6d; store pigs, 16s; breeding sows, £3 5s to £4 12s; stack oaten hay, £l3; and sundries at full market rates.
