OBITUARY.
SIR ALEXANDER YULE. The death occurred in Pahiatua rather unexpectedly on Thursday last of Mr Alexander Yule, a well known farmer of the Forty-Mila Bush, and formerly of Masterton. Deceased had been ailing lately, but attended the annual meeting of the Racing Club on Tuesday night, and was.about on Wednesday. The late Mr Yule waa born at the Hutt sixty--8 yeara ago, and want to Pahiatua about the year 1885. He was engaged sawmilling for many years, but latterly was dairy farming. He was a County Councillor, Borough Councillor, and one of the Trustees o* the Racing f'lub property. Over thirty years ago deceased cams to Masterton. where he engaged in sawmilling with the late Mr Alexander Burnett. He subsequently resided at Carterton, and waa manager of the Waingawa meat works and fellmongery for some time. He leaves quite a number of relatives in Masterton and various parts of the Wairarapa.
