"ALADDIN." ''At the Town Hall this evening, the curtain will rise at 7.50 on the first and only production of J. C. son's enornfously successful :pahtomime extravaganza "Aladdin." Year after year the resources of our leadding theatrical entrepreneurs, the skill and ingenuity of scenic artists, costumieres, and mechanicians, are taxed to the utmost to provide novel and brilliant spectacular effects for introduction in the annual Christmas i extravaganzas. In . this respect no firm has been more lavish than that headed by J. C. Williamson, who, not content - with utilising " the services of a small army of. skilled workmen in Australia, sends an emissary all over Europe and America, from time to time, in Order to • secure for Australasia's -pleasure-lov-ing community the privilege of seeing the very latest "specialities. Messrs Price and Revost fairly astounded playgoers of Sydney and Melbourne by their amazingly sensational comedy acrobatic turn, and Mr Williaom Hassan, by Ins unique representation of a donkey, was proclaimed in those cities, as the nnest animal impersonator ever seen in Australia. Mr Harry Phydora of "Mother Goose" fame, will make his reappearance in the role of the Widow Twankey. Mr J. M. Campbell's re-appearance will also be welcomed, whilst others in the cast who have already appeared here very successfully are Messrs Victor Loydall, Kupert Darroll, Bert Watson, Clyde Cook, and Edward Sutton. Much interest will be taken m the debut of Miss Eva Moore, sister of Carrie Moore, and in the reappearance of the charming young Australian vocalist Miss Marie Eaton. Other ladies who will find on their entrance that their performances in other pantomimes have not been forgotten are Misses Stella Selbourne, Nance Maher and Lena Ericson, whilst Miss Winnie Harbour will meet with the usual first arrival's reception, llie whole of the production is staged under the direction of Mr Gerald Coventry, Mr J. C. Whitford is stage manager, and Mr Fred Quintrel , musical director. The curtain will vise at 7.50 punctually, and the performance will terminate before leven ' o'clock.
