Mr C. McCullough. of West Bush Road, has decided to again place th* services of his successful thoroughbred sire Conqueror at the disposal of breeders in this dis-trict. As a show ring horse hs has never been beaten, having the wonderful eecord of securing seventeen first prize* and sixteen championships. Conqueror's achievements on the race track are something to be proud of, for h e has won such good races as the C.J. C. Welcome Stakes and Middle Park Plate, Great Northern Foal Stakes, Dunedin Stakes, Dunedin Eclipse Stakes, and Dunedin Glasgow Plate. In winning the'' Welcome Stakes of 1897 he cut out Jour furlongs in 46 l-ssecs —an Australasian record, which halds good to this day. in addition he has sired a large number of winners, amongst the number Motoa, Waipaku, holders of the New Zealand record mile and a furlong, Toa Tuhi, Naumai,' Cbivalry, Ability, Ascalon, Blue Bell, Conquestina, First Consul,Rongomai, Succession, Surmount, Tina Toa, Toanga, Waiouru, and a number of others.
