HOROWHENUA v. HAWKE'S BAY. A DRAWN GAME. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) LEVIN, Last Night. The Horowhenua Rugby representatives met Hawke's Bay at .Levin to-day. The result was a draw. Though not consistently good, the eame was marked by some fast, open play, and was contested in an excellent spirit. Hawke's Bay scored two tries against one try and a penalty goal.
Next Saturday's junior matches are: —Dalefield v. Carterton, at Dalefield; Liberal v. Masterton, ait Carterton; Lower Valley v. Weraiti, at Grey town. The Red Star and Carterton thirdclass teams will meet on Saturday next at Carterton in the final for the Cooper Cup, Mr A. B. Charters will referee. At a meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union on Saturday it was decided to play the junior representative practice at Carterton on Saturday, September 10th. The following team will represent the stock and station agents and dentists, in the football ■ match on Thursday next, against the bank and law clerks:—Wilton, C. Smith, Campbell, Milne, Williams, Baker, Iggulden. Ball, Low, Woods, Reynolds, Mcßarron, Messenger, Gallie and De Lisle. Emergencies—Carey and Moodie. The bank and law team will be as follows:—Elcoate. Cora dine, Chamberlain, Welch, McKellar, Waddington, Smith, S. R. Gawith, McKenzie, De Lisle, O'Dowd, Butler, Jordan, Hendry, fallen and Drummnnd. Emergencies—C, A. Pownall and J.B.Henry.
