THE LAND BILL.
Sir Joseph Ward intimated in the House of Representatives yesterday that the Land Bill would be brought down next week, and would contain "very ..important .proposals, which would meet with the support of the country." From these significant words it would appear that Sir Joseph intends conceding the freehold tenure right out. And this spite of the threats of the Ells, and the Taylors, and the Laurensons, and, should we say, the Hoggs! No other proposals but freehold can possibly meet with the support of the countny-
