Mrs Betsy Crisp, Manukau Road, Parrtell, Auckland, says:-"I sufered acutely from three severe attacks of Rheumatic Fever, and was left with Rheumatism in my system for years. It started first in the hipa and spread to every joinr. My arms got aff3cted in the muscles, and three years ago I couldn't close my hands. 1 had to have flannel always next to my skin, and slept on blankets and even had flannel pillows. I was worse in the winter. The least chill wuuld bring on an attack, even dipping my hands in cold water. Often at night I couldn't <-lase my eyes for hours with the pain, and in the morning it took about an hour for me to get out of bed. Sometimes I had to raise my self in bed with a rope tied to the end. My knuckles would get so red and*sore and swollen that my hands were useless. Eggs a la Soubise are a great favourite with onion lovers. Boil onions until soft and rub through a sieve; there should be on« cupful of onion puree. Melt two tablespoon! uls of butter, add one and one-half tablespoonfuls of flour and the onion puree. As soon as thoroughly beaten add one-third of a cupful of milk Bring to the boiling point "and add the yolk of two eggs slightly beaten. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and add five hard boiled eggs cut in thin slice?. Just before sprving sprinkle with one half-tablespoonful of finely chopped parsley. Eggs and onions prepared in this way are very delicious and make an excellent dish for tea. Not a little depends upon the tea if the palate is to be pleased. The "New Crescent'' brand at 2s per pound is the great favourite and finds its way into mansion and cottage alike. It is a tea of special merit and seems to please every palate. The "Crescent" brand at Is lOd will please mest peopb with its rich Savoury quality. The "Mikado" brand at Is 6d per pound is the best' family tea at the money, though moderate in cost, it is high in quality. These teas are procurable from nearly all storekeepers. Recovery from wasting and weakening diseases is hastened by use of PHOSPHOL. Phosphol begins with a P. 6
