RESULT OF TONKING'S THIRD CONTEST.

The first prize of five guineas has been awarded to Mr A. B. Matthews, of New Plymouth, whose contribution Ave reproduce below : Of arguments I've quite enough, To prove that Tonking's sterling Stuff, His great Emulsion (Linseed dight), Beats all it's rivals out of sight. My reasons are so slear that they Conviction carry all the way; The chief one is (I now confide it), Merely this: "That I have tried it!" The* second and third prizes of three and two guineas respectively have been awarded to E. G. Humphrey, Marton, and E. J. Hodgson, Christchurch.
