EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at their fortnightly stock sale at Eketahuna yesterday:—Vve submitted a fair entry of sheep, embracing all classes. In ewes the quality was only medium, but wethers and hoggets were of gcod class, and sold at rates slightly in advance of previous markets, and have to report a totai clearance. In cattle, we submitted dairy cows and heifers, and young stock, all lots selling readily at sound figures. Medium ewes, in lamb, 9s 6d; best hoggets, 12s 1J; medium, 10s to lie 6d; smaller, 10-; store wethers, 15a; dairy cows up to £6; heifers, forward, up to £5 10s; good yearlings, 50s.
HOME MARKETS.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. have received the following cablegram from their London house:—Wheat.—Sold at 38s 9d c.i.f.. Australian cargo; very little demand owing to fine weather. Outlook uncertain. Oats.—Gartons, Is; Sparrowbills, Is 7d; restricted demand. Sheepskins.—Spot market has upward tendency. Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow—Good muton, 375; good beef, 365; mixed, 33s 3d per cwt. Market active.
