WEATHER FORECAST
WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast show that strong westerly winds have prevailed and gales about Cook Strait. Rain hasf allen on the West Coast and in the southernmost districts, but elsewhere the weather has been fair. The barometer has risen everywhere, since about 4 a.m. Present indications are for a slow rise in the barometer pressure for a few hours, which will probably back to northerly everywhere and increase after about 16 hours. The weather will probably continue fineover to-morrow in most parts, but with increasing haziness heralding a decided change to follow.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday was 12 points, and on Friday 8 points.
