LOWER TAUERU.
a most enjoyable concert was held in the Taueru Hall on Thursday even ing last, when items were contributed by a concert pary consisting of Mrs Daniell, Misses Jago and Hampton, and Messrs Branson, Elcoate, Iggulden and Jago, motored out from Masterton for the purpose. Mr Rupert Morrison contributed a stump speech, and the Misses Pilmer a pianoforte duet, while Miss Bennett and the school children contributed items Mr Pilmer occupied the chair. Altogether the Taueru was provided with a musical treat, such as it seldom experiences, and the hearty thanks of the community are dua to those who freely put their Ferv'ces at the disposal of the committee. Special thanks are due to Mr R. Nisbett, of the Sunlight Improved Generator, who voluntarily lit the Hall by means of his model Sunlight improved acetylene plant when the ordinary Hall lamps were found to be out of action- The proceeds are to be devoted to the benefit of a local resident.
