Mr Coleman Phillips, who has been j somewhat seriously ill at Carterton, is able to get about again. Mr Frederick Olsen, who died recently in Wellington, was well-known throughout the Wairarapa. He resided for a number of years at Kaiwaiwai. Mr J. J. Devine, a Wellington solicitor and City Councillor, died somewhat suddenly in Wellington on Tuesday night at the age of 55 years. Mr Lauuence E. Reade, solicitor, of Foxton, who sustained serious injuries through faliing from a tramcar in Wellington in June last, died j in the Wellington Hospital yesterI day. Mr Alfred Rice, advance agent for the Caledonian Concert Company, was in Masterton yesteTday making arrangement for the appearance of bis Company at the Town Hall on Monday and Tuesday next. Provincial C. S. Bro. G. Godber and P.P.G.M. Madeley, 1.0.0. F., M.U., are at present staying at the Club Hotel, Masterton, and will leave on Friday for Wellington.
