PARIS, August 15. Beaurepaire won the Five Hundred Metre (about 600 yards) Swimming Race at Joinville Le Pent, - with Pletin second and Pernot third. The time was 7min. 18 sec.
A WORLD'S RECORD.
(Received Last Night, 9.15 o'clock.) LONDON, August 15. The Ladies National Five Hundred Yards Swimming Championship at Weston Supermare was Avon by Miss Steer in 73 3-5 seconds, equalling the world's record. ■'■■.'
