The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Hospital and Charitable Aid Committee was held in the Hospital on Tuesday morning. There were present—Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman), W. Morris, James Miller, J. C. Ewington, and Mrs Cairns. The treasurer reported a credit balance at date on account of the benevolent fund of £l9 15s 7d. 1 The ordinary meeting of the Independent Order of Rechabites was -held last evening in the Dominion Hall, Masterton, Bro. J. W. Andrews, C.R., in the chair. The usual business of the Tent wan dealt with, in the course of which an invitation was received frnm the JMapier Tent to attend a banquet to fie held in that town on August 24th.
