The, police are investigating Hie circumstances attending the death of Madam fie Lavan, whose husband resides in New Zealand.
The deceased was the proprietor of a small hotel at Eustort. ;.•■•'
She is reported to have received a blow on the eye from a man to whom she refused lodging', and to have succumbed next day.
