MASTERTON TRUSTLANDS TRUST.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening, there being present Messrs E. G. Eton (iu th 9 chair,) W. H. Jackson, 9. P.agnell, R. Krahagen, D. Uaselberg, C. E. Daniell and T. B. Michel!.

An apotogy u , for absence was re ceived from Mi* T. Wagg. The secretary of the Wellington Farmers" Meat Co. wrote agreeing to lease the large room and single office in the new Trust building if a subdivision, as suggested, is erected. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £199 7s lOd.

Accounts amounting to £147 7s Id were passed for payment. Mr J. Tait wrote, to accept £lO for the iron shed near the Waipoua river The Master ton South Brass Band asked for a donation of £lO towards the funds of the band.—lt was decided that th 3 matter be left in the hands of the secretary to report upon.

Mr J. C Ewington made an offer for the property lately occupied by MrJJJ. Tait.—lt was resolved that Messrs Caselberg, Pragnell and Yiichell be a committee to report to a future meeting on the matter after conferring with Mr Ewington. _Mr A. E. Whyte offered to instal an electric light plant for the Town Hall —The letter was received. Mr 0. Pragnell suggested that the Repair Committee report upon the lighting of the Town Hall, the suggestion being adopted.

On Mr Jackson's motion, it was decided that a committee, consisting of Messrs Wagg, Caaelberg, Danicll and Michell, enquire into a recent fire at the new Trust buildingMr Jackson moved that the Minister of Justice be asked to state the approximate date when the Courthouse site will be handed over to the Trust.—This was seconded by Mr Daniell and carried. It was also decided that Mr Daniell wait upon the Under-Secretary for JusI tice on the matter. <
