THE PANTOMIME "ALADDIN"
NOT TO BE SBOWN IN MASTERTON.
ON ACCOUNT OF DEFECTIVE
RAILWAY SERVICE.
At the meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees, last evening, a letter was read from Mr R. Stewart, manager for the J. C. Wiliiams m Company, statins that, although ne had been trying his utmost to arraiga with the Railway Department, he feared he would be unable to produce the pantomime "Aladdin" in Masterton. It took at least eight hours to fix up the pantomime, and this would not be possible under present train arrangements. He asked that the cause of his inability tu play in Masterton be made public, as the entertainments in that town had always been satisfactory from | financial and other standpoints, even in rtspect to the most expensive
Companies. It was deeded that a copy of Mr Stewart's letter be forwarded to Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P.
It was also decided, on the motion of Mr W. H. Jackson, that the Trust Lands Trustees join with the Wairarapa local bodies in a protest against the inadequate railway service in the district, and that copies of the resolution be forwarded to the Minister of Railways and Mr Hogg, M.P.
