COMPENSATION FOR ACCIDENTS.

The Arbitration Court concluded its sittings to-day, when two compensation cases were disposed of. One of thesa was a case in which a Takarui carper t*r claimed £450 for tn injury sustained ti his eye by a splinter from a cbistl, but accepted £4O in settlement.
