COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in Pahiatua (this week in the Pahiatua Farmers' yards) yesterday, Tuesday, August 9th, when tney offered an entry of cattle and sheep well up to advertised numbers. Sheep that came forward met with a very dull sale, but cattle of all classes were well competed for, and wera all sold. Quotationa areas follows>s Sheep—Hoggets 7s 9d, to 8s 3d. Cattle—Springing cows £4 15s to £6, springing heifers, backward, £3 2s 6d, £3 5s to £4 ss, empty cows £3, £3 10s to £4 15s, heifers with calves £2 6s to £3 2s. The next sale will be held next Tuesday in the Mangahao Road yards.
