LADIES' HOCKEY REPS.

(To the Editor).

Sir,—Re the Wairarapa ladies* rep. teams published in your isaae of yesterday, I consider the selectors (Messrs Hatch, Iveson and Bannis), have not done justice to the material available in the district. I think those who have followed the game will ask with me, what is wrong with L. Smith in goal, and M. Skeet and B. Waterson as full-backs. Miss Skeet is rightly considered to be Kia Toa's best back, and with the two others mentioned makes the strongest combination for these positions that can be procure Jin the Wairarapa. They.are not even included in the B.team. As regards the B team selected, one would think that the selector* had purposely picked a very weak team so that they would not be able to give their doubtful A team a go for their places. The A team consists of one Hinemoa, one Kiwi, four Kia Tons, and five Kamblers. Fair distribuion this. Tt seems a wonder Kia Toas got four in. One would think that the selection hrd been left to one selector only. The sooner Wairarapa ladies wake up and get selectors who understand their business the better. Why, one can easily pick a team from players not included in either A or B teams that would give the selectors' A team a very hard nut to crack. I give you a team herewith, and ask readers why there are not at least four of them in Wairarapa's first rep. team —L. Smith, B. Waterson, M. SKeet, R. Bambry, I. Ramsay, D. Kennedy, G. Hewson, A. Hollis, E. Gallon, B. Scott, R. Neilson. It is to be hoped that after next Thursday's practice the selectors will re-consider their decisions and at least give some of the above a chance to prove their right of in elusion in the team. Having seen every team play this season.—l am, etc., INTERESTED. Carterton.
