MANCHESTER COTTON WORKERS.
A SENSIBLE AGREEMENT. Received August 9, 12,35 a,.m. LONDON, August 8. The cardroom workers at Manchester approved of allowing the wages to remain unaltered for five years. The Employers and others also agreed and hoped the decision would give the spinning trade freedom from strikes. THE PAPAROA MINE,

The men at the Paparca mine re sumed work this morning. Nearly all the hands are returnine|Jto work pending an/inquiry. Only a few have left the district. Last week's output ot coal was somewhat affected, only 9300 tons being sent out.
