The most important sale of dairy stock which has been held in the Woodville district for some considerable time is advertised by Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., for Wednes duy, August 10th. On that date they will sell the whole uf »Mr W. Rem nant's well-knowTl herd of Holateins and Shorthorn Jersey" cows at hia farm in Manga-atua Valley, There are 58 young guaranteed cows to ca!ve early. 30 of which ?re Grade Holstein and 28 Shorthorn Jerseys, mostly in calf to Prize Pedigree Holstein bull, and the balance to a Grade Holstein bull. Twenty 2-year Grade haifers Holstein to calve in October, and 8 yearling Grade Holstein bulls, by pedigree bull, 20 yearling Grade Ko'stein he fers, sheep, pigs, etc. are included in the catalogue.
