The match between the American Universities team and Auckland was played to day in perfect weather The visitiDg team showed suiprisjngly good form, their defence being very sound. The attendance was about 3,000. The match ended in a draw, each side scoring 13 points. For the Americans tries were scored by Phleger, Allen and Kern, Brown converting two; while for Auckland Stewart (2) and Wilkes scored tries, O'Leary converting two.
