ART EXHIBITION.
The Art Exhibition, which will openi n the Technical School this afternoon, will be without doubt the finest collection of oils, water colours and studies in black and white ever brought together in Masterton. The walls of three large rooms are completely covered, and last eveniog a large band of willing helpers wete engaged hanging and arranging the Jarge number of pictures so generously lent by the people of Masterton. Some idea of the value of the collection can be formed when a policy of £2,00(1 has been taken out, covering them as a partial protection
against fire. The students attending the drawing and art classes at |the School have a very interesting display in one of the rooms, the exhibits being of a very high order.» .The Managers of the Technical [ School are : to fce complimented.on their praiseworthy action in promoting such an exhibition, which will tend to develop art in the Wairarapa. All interested in pictures or the Technical School generally should not miss this first splendid opportunity of seeing a first-class collection tf valuable works of art. Included in the collection in "The Madonna and Child," which is valued at £SOO.
