The day, he says, is not distant when the population and the army would rally to his (Don Jaime's) cause against the enemies of liberty.

Senor Canalejas, the rremier, states that he will exhaust all prudent meatia in his negotiations with the Vatican, but he is determined to : keep the promises made to the country. The paper El Imparcial says that if King Alfonso supports Senor Canalejas's policy, Sanor Canalejas will initiate measures against the churcii which will disagreeably surprise the Vatican. Received July 30, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, July 30. The Daily News reports that the Vatican will refuse further negotiations unless Senor withdraws or does not apply the ordinances.
