RIDD MILKING MACHINE ■New Plymouth, 16th April, IDIO. TheEidd Milking Machine Co. JNew Plymouth. Dear Sir,—lt ia now over six months ago since I installed one of your Three Bucket Plants, with a 3-h.p. Watt Kngine. When I gave the order for the machine I looked upon it as an experiment, rendered necessary by the difficulty in procuring labour. I am moio than satisfied with the result. The cows took readily to the machine, and I am convinced tnat I ha ye obtained better results ngnt through the season than if they had been milked by hand. ') his I attribute to the regularity and smoothness with which the machiSe es its I work as against when the nws are milked by dfferent persons. The teats ani udders have not sustained the slightest irjury by the use of the machine, on the contrary the Cows have not been troublsd with sore teats, as is often 1 the case with hand milking. To sum up with, I look upon the use of the machi&o as giving as good or even better results than by hand milfe'iiT-, besides giving a great saving in time and labour. The cows are less than half the time in the yard than if milked by hond, which is a great advantage. I have no hes : tation in recommending anyone wanting a machine to go in for a Kidd, or if they are in doubt to come and se3 mine at work. -I am 63 year 3 of age, end have been dairying in Taranaki all my life so am not exactly a new chum at the game. i rs faithfully.
