PAHIATUA STOCK SALES,
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at their sale on the 19th inst., they had [a heavy yarding of sheep, and a fair tneof cattle. Sheep sold well, especially good young breeding ewes, which reached 20s. Cattle sold at late rates. Quotations.—Young breeding ewes, 17s 6d to 20s; sound mouth ewes, lis 8d to full mouth ewes, 7s to 9s 3d: fat ewes, 13s to 14s 8d; empty ewes, 7s 9d to 10s; good hoggets, lis 6d to llslOd; medium hoggets' 9s to 9s 8d; dairy cows, £5; fat cows, £5; springing heifers, £5 5s to £5 17s 6d; 2Jyr steers, £5 2s; Syr steers £5 15s; 18 month steers, £2 15s; empty heifers, £2 13s 6d.
Messrs Dalgety and Go , Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in their Mangahao Road yards yesterday, when they offered only a small yarding o£ both sheep and cattle to a fair attendance of buyers. One [pen of 2-tooth ewes in |lamb were passed in at Is; yearling heifers, £2 to £2 ss; store cows, £3 2a 6d to £3 t 10s: springing cows to £6 7s 6d. The next sale will be in the F.F.A. yards on Tuesday, the 26 th inst.
