AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON -.PAYNE PICTURES. Another full house witnessed t the second' production ?of the currentprogramme at the Foresters' Hail last night. "The Twisted Trail" is one of the best pictures yet produced here, hoth as to quality and subject. Ah the name would imply, the story savours of the detective. The plot was eagerly followed by the audience, and loud applause greeted the sheriff's that prevfented an innocent man being executed. "The Galley Slave" is a powerful dramatic subject, and was well received, 'the saenic portion of the series is exceptionally good, aud great interest •was displayed in "Canadian Silver Mines," and "E>yptian Monuments and Mummies." The comedy was provided by "Fits and Misfits," "They Wou'd Roller Skate," and "Caught Red-handed." To-night this programme will be supplemented by "Snow White," a fine colored picture, for the first time in New Zealand.
