RIDD MILKING MACHINE, New Plymouth, 16th April, 1910. The Ridd Milking Machine Co. Mm? Plymouth. I;wnr fair,—lc is now over six months ago since I installed one of your Three Bucket Plants, with a 3h i Watt Engine. When I gave the ord-- f •'■ the machine I looked upon it as < n v..cperiment, rendeied necessary by the difficulty in procuring labour. I am moio than satisfied with the result. The cows took readily to the machine, and 1 am convinced tnat I have obtained better resaits ngiit through the season than if they had been milked by hand. ') his I attribute to the regularity and .rnooth ness with which the machine es its work as against when the << ws are milked by afferent persons. The teats nn\ udders have not sustained the slightest injury by the use of the machine, on the contrary the cows have not been troublsd with sore test?, as is often the case with hand mukwig. To sum up with, 1 look up:>n the use of the loachiLe as giving as good or ev«m hotter results than by hand milkmr*, bosidws giving a great saving in time and labour. Tne cows are less than half the time in the yard than if milked by hond, which is a great advantage. I have no hesitation in recommending anyone wanting a machmb to go in for a Kidd, or Jf they are in doubt, to come and se3 mine at work. lam 63 years of age, end have been dairying in Ta,rar:aki all my life so a a not exactly a new chum at the game. Yours faithfully, (Sd. AAiiON MAKSH. SIANSON <ND BARE, Palmerston North.
