By Telegraph—Press Association. HA WERA, July^l3. The Dominion Dairy Show was opened vi brilliant weather, and tjhere was a big crowd of people from all parts of the North Island. The Hon. T. McKenzie, in opening the Shcfw, declared that he had never seen a finer Show. He had inspected various departments, and spoke with enthusiasm concerning the quality of the exhibits, especially praising l the school exhibition, which formed a surprising good feature of the Show. Referring to the building up of dairy herds, Mr McKenzie said he had yesterday purchased ten purebred Holstein cows, for which he paid £4O each, with a view to establishing reliable milking strains. Considerably over a thousand entrance tickets were sold within an hour of tbe opening.
