STRIKE AND EVICTION.
TROOPS SENT TO THE SCENE. Received July 13, 10 a.m. OTTAWA, July 12. Five hundred strike-breakers were effecting evictions from houses belonging to the Cumberland Railway and Coal Company a: Spring Hill, when the strikers threw stones and destroyed property. Two hundred members of the Royal Canadian Regiment from Haliiax have been sent out to maintain order.
