AEROPLANING.
TWO ACCIOENTS. WOMAN FATALLY INJURED. Received July 9, 11 a.m. PARIS, July 8. M. Gaubert, while aeroplaning at Vichy, in the Department of the Allire, fell from a height of 240 feet into the Alllre River. He was unhurt. The Raroness de la Roche, while aeroplaning at Rheime, fell from a height of 50 metres, and was so badly injured that there is no hope of her recovery. M. Latham, the well-known aeropianist, put up a good performance at Rheims. He rose to a height of 4,658 feet, which constitutes a record. He was hidden by tiie clouds for fifteen minutes.
LADY ABDY'S OFFER. Received July 9* 10 a.m. LONDON, July 8. Lady A boy, in a letter, confirms her offer of £50,000 for the construction of a passenger airship. She adds that she does rot necessarily limit the amount to be expended to £50,000. A RECORD. s Received July 11, 12.35 a.m. NEW YORK, July 10. Walter Brookings' altitude of 6,100 feet at Atlanta City, on a Wright bi-plane is a record.
