Mr J. C. Bjddington rrports that the rainfall registered at the Upp?r Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Friday was 4 points. WEATHEK FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 8, The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and weather forecast is as follows: The wind has changed to southerly in most parts of the country, with rain generally, and snow and hail in the south. The barometer has risen everywhere. • Present indications are for a further rise in the barometer. Colder and showery weather is probable generally, with snow on the higher levels and frosty nights in the south.
