Y.M.C.A. BOARD MEETING.

The Board of Management of the local Y.M.C.A. met last Mr P. L. Boilings presiding. A very encouraging report was read fay the Secretary, it being exactly a year from the date of his coming to the Association, during which time the membership has increased from 140 to 270. Mr HolHngs, in speaking to the report, complimented the Secretary on his'excellent year's work, and other members spoke in the same strain. It was unanimously resolved that the Secretary be le-engaged. Reports were received from the Physical Department Committee, and a committee was set up to deal with matters relating to the extension scheme. Mr T. J. Thompson's resignation as a member of the Board was accepted and Mr H. D. McHaftie appointed in his place. Mr A. P. Fielding's resignation as custodian was also accepted, and the question of the appointment ot a new caretaker was left over until the August meeting. The Secretary further reported the re-formation of the Bey Scouts, and a new organisation in the Shakespeare Cub and Elocution Class.
