AUCKLAND HOTEL TRAGEDY.
THE INQUEST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 7. The inquest on the body of J. M. Price, who was killed as the.result of a fracas in the Waitemata Hotel,was opened this morning. Dr. Milson, who gave/evidence as to the cause of dsath, said in cross examination that it was possible for the injury to be caused by Price falling on something angular, if the deceased pitched against such an object with a'l his weight. James O'Shaughnessy, a stated that Tucker, intervening in an altercation between Hurley and the deceased struck the latter on the right side of the head or neck. Price fell, and in rising was again struck by Tucker. Price fell on his back. There were some boxes on the ftoor' which Price may have struck in falling, but he was clear of the boxes when witness saw him on the floor.
