BURGLAR AT A BANK. NARROW ESCAPE. Received Julyj7, 11 a.m. , SYDNEY, July 7. An official of the Bank of Australia last night discovered a man attempting to enter the bank premises by a side window. He calted for help. A. neighbour rushed up Constable Dow ling also appeared. ' The neighbour, mistaking him for the burglar, fired a revolver. Thejjbullet struck Dowling over the breast, but a pocket-book saved him from serious injury. The burglar escaped.
