BLOWN INTO THE SEA.
By Telegraph—Press Association WHANGAREI. July 4.
While returning from Whangaiei very late on Saturday night, a party of workmen landed from a launch an the Cement Company's wharf, Limestone Island. Hugh Coll, a single man of about 45, turned back to get a parcel from the end of the wharf, when he was caught by the gale and blown into the harbour. A terrific current was running, and a choppy sea. A search by the launch in the darkness was unavailing.
