'lhe ship W. F. Babcock, from Puget Sound to Table Baj, put into Sydney in distress. She encountered a cyclonic storm and was thrown on her beam ends. She emerged from ihe gale in a disabled condition and leaking. She also lost her deck cargo of two hundred thousand feet of timber, and came to Sydney for repairs •
