"PETE" AT THE TOWN HALL.
The attendance at the p-rformance of "Pete" by the special company of Clarke and Meynell at the Masterton Town Hall on Saturday night was very large, and trie audience was enthusiastic of the piece from start to finish. All that had been written in advance of the artists and the dramatisation itself was verified, thus showing that Mr Meynell, who had himself specially selected the company, does not believe ingoing into a town without keeping up his great reputation for high-class work. Mr H. R. Roberts and Miss Beatrice; Day were worth going a long way to see and hear, and every other member of the cast reflected their talent. "Pete" is a splendid drama, parformed by an excellent company of high-class artistes.
