CYCLONIC DISTURBANCE. SPECIAL STORM WARNINGS. Received June 30, 8 2 p.m. SYDNEY, June 30. A.stiff southerly gale.is blowing with a rising sea. By Telegranh—Press Asrocatioii. WELLINGTON, June 30. Referring to the above cable, the Rev. D. Bates says this is evidently the tail of a cyclonic disturbance, and one head may be expected shortly to touch New Zealand. Northerly gales may be expected soon in the North of New Zealand, and the centre of the storm will probably strike Cook Strait. Mr Bates to-night sent special storm warnings to all stations in the 'North Island, and the northern portion of the South Island, and to-mor-row morning turther warnings will be dispatched to outlying districts in the South.
